Men and Stag: A Good Mix?

I was at a bachelorette party a few weeks ago when something odd happened. To explain it which surprised me, I soon typical bachelorette party label. For those who do not attend many bridal showers, mostly women only events. As I'm at the age where my friends are married, I've been about five showers in the last two years and all have offered only friends, co-workers and families. What made this bridal shower last so interesting was that there were men in attendance. Now, let me say this does not really bother me. Maybe I'm used to a bachelorette party to be an issue only for women. Certain things happen when only women in the room (the mind of the gutter, boys) and men in the event that changes the whole dynamic of the shower. It felt more like a friend then a girlfriend shower together that, honestly, had its pluses and minuses. I find myself at some point feels a little strange that I had an unspecified date.

This got me thinking, are there rules that have a bachelorette party to be single women? Men do not really have a shower for the groom, so it's not fair that they are involved in the bachelorette party? Frankly, I do not think the kids want to participate in the bridal showers. Sorry girls, but the men I saw at the bridal shower was incredibly uncomfortable. They looked "wait, What am I doing here? . I'm sure I've dragged and once a man was invited all women were followed by others.

Why a boy wants to be there, anyway? It's girly things. Not that a man has to be all "" Football-beer-construction, but I'm sure there are other things they want to do with your Sunday afternoon. Perhaps I'm old fashioned but leave the bridal shower for the girls. Everyone involved will be happier.
