don't get me wrong, i LOVE my ring... BUT is my engagement ring bigger or smaller than most of yall's?
i am completely in love with my ring and don't think that my fiance could have possibly done a better job!
the center stone is 1.05 carats and the side stones are .32 carats, so in total, it's 1.37 carats. (when people ask how big it is, should i tell them it's a little over 1 carat, or a little under 1.5 carats?)
is this bigger or smaller than average? i look at it and think it's huge, but when i compare it to my friends' rings, it seems small (i'm from a high SES area).

i just want to know what the average size is.
Generally you talk only about the center stone and don't mention the smaller ones. However, all the stones combined are called total carat weight.
1 carat or so is a very common size but the cut of the diamond can make a difference in how large it looks.
Perhaps some of your friends have stones that are more than 1 carat.
